On October 6th, Mnet broadcast performances from the ‘Hallyu Dream Concert‘ in place of their regular weekly airing of their music program, ‘M! Countdown‘.
Earlier this week, top stars gathered at the Kyungju Citizen Stadium for a night of fun performances put on by their favorite idols. Hosted by 2PM’s Taecyeon, SHINee’s Minho, and actress Park Shin Hye, the concert was led by artists like SNSD, TVXQ, 2PM, SHINee, miss A, B2ST, 4minute, T-ara, SISTAR, MBLAQ, ZE:A, Kim Gun Mo, IU, Seo In Guk, GD&TOP, Se7en, Gil Hak Mi, and Kim Bo Kyung.
Representatives of Mnet stated, “This Hallyu dream concert was especially meaningful in that it brought together the leaders of the K-Pop wave all over the world. We brought in wire cams and cutting edge sound technology to really capture the beauty of every performance.”

The official line-up for this year’s Hallyu Dream Concert at the Gyeongju Civic Stadium on October 3rd has just been announced! A total of 19 idol groups and solo artists will be performing on that night. The full list includes: TVXQ, 2PM, SNSD, SHINee, miss A, GD&TOP, Se7en, SECRET, Kim Gun Mo, ZE:A, 4minute, B2ST, G.NA, T-ara, Davichi, SISTAR, IU, MBLAQ, and INFINITE. The 2011 Hallyu Dream Concert is being co-organized by the Committee of “Visit Korea Year”, the city of Gyeongju, and the Korea Entertainment Producers’ Association. It’s also being supported by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization. A total of 20,000 spectators including 5,000 overseas visitors are expected to attend the annual event. The ‘Ballpark of Dreams’ project began last December , but was never completed because of a lack of funds. To raise the rest of the funds and to ensure its construction, the members of Performances will be added later! On August 28th, SHINee, 2PM, and B2ST performed “JULIETTE“, “I’m Your Man“, and “BAD GIRL” respectively, drawing screams from fangirls all throughout the show. Check out their performances below!

Prior to the broadcast goo/NTT DoCoMo wanted to find out which K-pop artist their members were most curious about and yesterday they released the results of this mobile poll. The results shouldn’t be that surprising when looking at the current success of the various K-pop groups in Japan. Check out the complete ranking below. MC Park Myung Soo tested the two idols’ English by asking them to pronounce ‘Would you like something to drink?’ Onew said the line fluently while Yoseob stumbled over it, and the cast jeered over his ‘poor’ English skills. The cast called it the ‘English that you learn when you happen to make money quickly’. Then they sang Eric Benet’s “The Last Time“, and Yoseob was criticized again at his poor pronunciation of ‘at all’. This time the cast made fun of him for making it sound like ‘ero’. Instead, it did a recap of memorable performances and moments from K-pop artists on Music Core from the year 2010! After their appearances in the year-end ceremonies for December 29th, 30th, and 31st, B2ST will officially end all album promotions, and withdraw for a period to enjoy their well-deserved break. B2ST met with Newsen reporters and revealed, “We’ll be taking a break after our last broadcast appearance on the 31st. We’re planning to go to SHINee’s concert on January 1st.” A representative of Cube Entertainment further revealed, “They’ve run without breathing up until now, so they’re going to stop and catch their breaths for a bit. Their break won’t be long, though, since their Japanese debut is scheduled for February, along with the remaining encore concerts.
